• Do you buy second hand carpets?

  No — buying in second-hand rugs is not a service we offer. Some second-hand furniture stores in the area do buy used carpets; a quick online search or local community groups can point you to them.

• What types of carpets do you sell?

  Only one-of-a-kind, hand-knotted and hand-woven pieces — we stock no machine-made rugs, nothing tufted, and no fitted carpet. Most of the Persian rugs for sale here come from Iran's three weaving traditions: finely knotted city rugs such as Tabriz, Kashan, Nain and Isfahan, woven in workshops from a drawn design; bolder, mostly geometric village rugs such as Heriz and Bakhtiari; and tribal rugs woven from memory on portable looms — Baluch, Gabbeh, and the Turkoman rugs the trade calls Bokhara. Alongside them come oriental rugs from Nepal, Pakistan and India, and flat-woven kilims and sumaks with no knotted pile. The great majority are pure wool, the rest silk or wool-and-silk, in sizes from small mats and runners up to living-room formats. The whole collection is in our carpet catalogue.

• How much is a Persian rug?

  What a hand-knotted rug costs comes down to labour, material, knot density and age. Every knot is tied by hand, so a larger or more finely woven rug means months — sometimes years — at the loom. Wool is the classic material; silk, slower to weave and harder to source, costs more. Knot density raises the price where the design calls for it — an intricate floral pattern needs a fine weave, while a bold geometric rug can be excellent at a modest count. Age sets the lane: a new rug carries today's labour and material costs, a piece a few decades old often costs less than comparable new work when its condition is sound — even wear, no repairs, no colour run — and genuine antiques of a hundred years or more, when rare and artistic, command the highest prices. • Do you offer carpet cleaning services?

• What is your return policy?

  Ready-to-ship rugs — every rug listed on this website with its own reference number — can be returned within 30 days of delivery if you are in the European Union, with return shipping on us, provided the rug comes back in its original condition. Outside the EU we do not accept change-of-mind returns, but items that arrive damaged, incorrect, or significantly different from their description are covered everywhere. Custom-size carpets cannot be returned anywhere, as they are made to your measurements. Full details are in our returns policy. We recommend keeping the packaging until you are certain you are happy with your rug.

• Do you offer installation services?

  Yes — professional carpet installation, available only for carpets purchased from us. Fees depend on area size, complexity, and extras such as furniture moving or old carpet removal — contact us for a quote.

• Which countries do you ship to?

  We ship across Europe and worldwide, and shipping is free to every destination we deliver to. Our shipping and delivery page shows every country on an interactive map, with estimated delivery times.

• Do I have to pay customs or import duties on international orders?

  No. Orders delivered within the EU incur no customs charges at all, and for all other destinations we cover the import duties and taxes ourselves, so your order clears customs with nothing extra to pay on delivery. See our shipping and delivery page for delivery areas and estimated timelines.

• What payment methods do you accept?

  Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Amazon Pay, alongside local methods such as iDEAL, Bancontact, Przelewy24, Satispay, MB WAY and SEPA Direct Debit — which of them appear at checkout depends on your country and currency.
