An all-over repeating pattern of round flowers linked by a diamond lattice of vines, usually with the blossoms rendered in white or yellow on a dark blue or red ground. Beloved in Kurdish, Baluchi, and northwest Persian weaving, the design reads from a distance as a field of stars. Its name is popularly traced to a legendary patron, Mina Khan.
