A very large government-linked Iranian rug producer, known by the initials ICC and in the United States as the Iranian Rug Company, whose roots reach back to 1934. It runs workshops in about 44 cities, including Tabriz, Hamadan and Sarouk, with some 25,000 workers, and supplies wool and materials and lends money for replacing old looms. Dyeing and weaving are tightly controlled, so its signature signals consistent, high quality whatever town the rug comes from.
