What Rug Cleaning Costs

Professional rug cleaning is priced by the square metre; the level of wash, the fibre and transport decide the rest. Below are our own workshop prices — and, wherever you live, what a fair quote should look like.

Our workshop prices

A single wash costs €12/m², the double wash we usually recommend €14/m², and an intensive triple wash €20/m².
Silk and delicate fibres add 50% for the extra care they need.
Example: a 2 × 3 m wool rug (6 m²) at the double wash comes to €84.
Pickup and return delivery within 30 km of our Marbella store cost €30–50 for both legs depending on distance, €10 less for a single leg — and nothing if you bring the rug to the store yourself.

Reading any cleaner’s quote

Ask for the price per square metre and the method — a full immersion wash costs more than surface cleaning because it does far more.
Check whether pickup and delivery are included, for one leg or both.
A serious cleaner asks what the rug is made of before quoting: silk, viscose and antique dyes change the safe method, so a flat “any rug, any size” price is a poor sign.
For a hand-knotted rug, ask for a written estimate before work begins — reputable workshops provide one as a matter of course.
